When evaluating a truck crash, it is important to gather the facts of what happened in the wreck as soon as possible. If there was major injuries, it almost certain that the trucking company and its insurers will be gathering all facts favorable to avoiding responsibility, within hours of the wreck. While it is possible to reconstruct what happened in a motor vehicle wreck thru the use of an accident reconstruction engineer, many of the telltale signs of what actually occurred may be lost if such investigation is not conducted prompty. The closer in time to the wreck that the engineer can examine the scene and photograph and inspect the damage to the vehicles involved, the more the engineer will be able to determine exactly what happened.

Accident reconstruction can be used to determine speed (thru evaluations of skid marks and crush damage), the location of the collision and other lookout and control issues which may have caused or contributed to the wreck.
